Last weekend Robin Bakker and Raymond Festen participated in The Ekiden in Brussels on behalf of Fectfinder.

The Ekiden is a relay race with teams of 6 people covering a marathon distance (42.195 km). Each team commits to raise at least 1,000 euros in funds for  before the start.

Ekiden comes from Japan. In Japan, important documents used to be delivered to their destination by relay runners. Eki means “station” and den means “switch”. It is a unique team event, perfect for team building or a family weekend that has become increasingly popular in recent years. Each runner will cover one of these distances: 5km, 10km, 5km, 10km, 5km, 7.195km.

With a time of 3 hours and 26 minutes a great result!
